The Church

Destiny Prayer Center in the heart of Slidell, LA was birthed through prayer and in the hearts of Pastors Brian and Tiffani Dean in the late months of 2007.

Opening the doors of Destiny Prayer Center on January 1, 2008 was a dream come true for the both of them. This dream gave them the ability to do what God had called them to and allowed them to begin to touch lives in a whole new way.

The heart of Destiny Prayer Center is very simple. To allow people, saved and unsaved, to see their true potential and Destiny that God intended for them from the beginning and give them the ability to walk in it.

We do this by first going out and reaching them through evangelism. We know that in today’s world we cannot afford to wait for them to come to us but we must begin to seek out the lost and lead them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Secondly, by walking them through Restoration. So many people are hurting in today’s world, so it is our responsibility to show them through the Word of God that he wants to heal them and restore them.

Third, and most importantly is Discipleship. The Bible states, “To Make Disciples out of men” (and women). It is this part that is the mandate of this ministry. We must begin to raise up men and women of God to minister his word so that we all can fulfill the great commission and go into all the world and preach the gospel.

If you ask Pastor Brian his goal in ministry, he will tell you, “It is to put myself out of a job. If I am doing my fathers will then I am doing what his word tells me to do and the more Disciples we raise up, the more lives are being radically changed by a TRUE relationship with Jesus Christ”.
