What We Believe
The Bible
The Bible is the Word of God, inspired by God, and written by holy men of God. It is Gods plan for humanity and the only true foundation for life (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21).
The Godhead
There is only one true God who exists in three distinct equal parts: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Commonly known as the TRINITY). (John 14:21-26).
Salvation
Jesus Christ (the Son of God) is the only way to heaven. He gave His life and shed His blood on the cross to redeem and restore man to God. Salvation cannot be earned by good works, but is Gods free gift to those who repent of their sins, and put their faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Eternal Life and being Born Again
Jesus Christ came to earth, died, and rose from the grave so that we might live an abundant life here on earth and then live eternally in heaven after we leave our earthly bodies. Being born again is available to all of those who accept Jesus Christ as Savior, salvation takes place, and his spirit becomes eternally alive to God (2 Corinthians 7:10; John 3:3-5).
Water Baptism
Baptism is a commandment of God for believers only. It is by immersion in water and is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:36-39).
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire is a gift from God promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to believers and is received after receiving salvation and being born again. This experience is accompanied by the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance (Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:38,39; Acts 2:4; Acts 1:8; Acts 19:1-7).
Sanctification
We believe in the teaching of sanctification as a definite but continuous work of grace beginning at the time of being born again and continuing until the completion of this life (1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 3:12-14; 1 Corinthians 1:30).
Divine Healing
Divine Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is brought about by the power of God through prayer and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the redemptive life and death of Christ, and is the privilege of every believer today (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:17; James 5:14-16; 1 Peter 2:24).
Resurrection of the Just and the Return of our Lord
The return of our Lord approaching and when He comes, “the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1Thessalonians 4:16,17). After the Tribulation, God will return to earth, as KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, and together with His saints, who will be kings and priests, He will reign a thousand years (Revelation 19:16; Revelation 20:6).
Sin and Eternity in Hell
People who physically die in sin without Christ are hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire, and have no ability of hearing the Gospel or for repentance. (Revelation 20:15).
